Laimonas Markauskas is an attorney-at-law and managing partner of NJORD Lithuania with more than 25 years of experience in business law. He provides practical advice on everyday corporate matters, including company formation, management, and compliance. Laimonas also assists clients with more complex challenges, such as personnel management, business restructuring, intellectual property, and acquisitions. His extensive experience ensures that clients receive clear guidance tailored to their specific needs—whether for daily operations or strategic decisions.

Laimonas leads the firm’s practice groups in Employment Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Franchising and Distribution, Sports Law, and IT Law. In these fields, he not only provides clients with clear and practical advice, but also plays a key role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction. His leadership ensures that NJORD consistently delivers services of the highest quality and relevance to businesses.

He also works a lot with the clients in the IT and technology sectors. He assists with software licensing, service agreements, contractual relationships, and a wide range of other legal matters, always ensuring solutions are tailored to each client’s specific needs.

Laimonas actively works with clients from the sports, creative, and entertainment industries—from sports clubs and associations to artists and producers. He helps them navigate legal and commercial challenges.

He is also actively engaged in the business community, serving as a board member in organisations dedicated to strengthening Finnish–Lithuanian business relations.
